DPNA Code
The DPNA code, introduced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2008, signifies a “Disabled Passenger with Intellectual or Developmental Disability Needing Assistance”. It is used during airline bookings to inform travel service providers about the guests’ needs for support throughout their journey.
Security checkpoints

Dubai Police ensures an inclusive experience. Customised metal detector gates accommodate wheelchairs, and over 400 employees are trained to assist guests with disabilities. As a consideration for guests with prosthetic limbs, a special room has been allocated for inspection. To facilitate the inspection process, guests should carry relevant medical reports.

Dedicated lanes for People of Determination at security checkpoints in DWC Arrivals and Departures,  offer a quicker, easier, and more dignified process.

General support

All airport employees are available to assist, and those wearing the sunflower pin are specially trained to support People of Determination, especially with hidden disabilities.
